Five Wiltings Decoction
五痿汤 〔五痿湯〕 wǔ wěi tāng

Ingredients
- Sān qī (三七 Notoginseng Radix, notoginseng [root]) 6g
- Cāng zhú (苍朮 Atractylodis Rhizoma, atractylodes [rhizome]) 6g
- Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 6g
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 3g
- Dāng guī (当归 Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chinese angelica) 9g
- Yì yǐ rén (薏苡仁 Coicis Semen, coix [seed]) 18g
- Mài dōng (麦冬 Ophiopogonis Radix, ophiopogon [root]) 12g
- Huáng bǎi (黄柏 Phellodendri Cortex, phellodendron [bark]) 3g
- Zhī mǔ (知母 Anemarrhenae Rhizoma, anemarrhena [root]) 3g
Actions: Nourishes yīn-blood; quickens the blood; dispels dampness; clears heat and reduces inflammation.
Indications: Flesh, sinew, and bone wilting (wěi), especially in the early stages.
Method: Decoct with water.
