Source: Dān Xī Xīn Fǎ Fù Yú 丹溪心法附余

Ingredients:

• Zhū yá zào (猪牙皂 Gleditsiae Fructus Abnormalis, small gleditsia [fruit])
• Xì xīn (细辛 Asari Rhizoma et Radix, asarum)

Action: Opens the gates (the jaws) and opens the orifices.

Indication: Sudden clouding reversal, clenched jaws, stopped breathXX, and loss of consciousness.

Category:

Method: Grind equal proportions of the agents to a powder.

Dosage: Blow a small amount into the patient's nose.

Notes: The gate appearing in the formula name is understood to mean the jaws and the orifices.
