Phlegm Depression Decoction
痰郁汤 〔痰鬱湯〕 tán yù tāng

Ingredients
- Dān shēn (丹参 Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix, salvia [root])
- Bàn xià (半夏 Pinelliae Rhizoma, pinellia [rhizome])
- Qián hú (前胡 Peucedani Radix, peucedanum [root])
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) (mix-fried)
- Dāng guī (当归 Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chinese angelica)
- Chén pí (陈皮 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, tangerine peel)
- Chén xiāng (沉香 Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum, aquilaria [wood])
- Guā lóu zǐ (瓜蒌子 Trichosanthis Semen, trichosanthes seed)
- Dǎn xīng (胆南星 Arisaema cum Bile , bile [-processed] arisaema [root])
- Zhǐ shí (枳实 Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, unripe bitter orange)
- Xiāng fù (香附 Cyperi Rhizoma, cyperus [rhizome])
- Huá shí (滑石 Talcum , talcum)
Indications: Depressed phlegm characterized by panting or cough, oppression in the chest, sensation of blockage in the throat. Pulse: Sunken and slippery.
