Alternate Chinese names: 白散

Ingredients:

• Jié gěng (桔梗 Platycodonis Radix, platycodon [root]) 10.5g
• Bā dòu shuāng (巴豆霜 Crotonis Fructus Pulveratus, croton [fruit] frost) 3g
• Bèi mǔ (贝母 Fritillariae Bulbus, fritillaria [bulb]) 10.5g

Action: ejection

Indication: Repletion cold chest bind with painful hard fullness in the chest, rib-side, and region of the heart exacerbated by pressure, constipation, absence of heat effusion, and absence of thirst. Tongue fur: White and glossy. Pulse: Sunken and slow. Can also treat throat impediment (hóu bì) and diphtheria.

Dosage: 1.5–3g at a time.
