• Chuān xiōng (川芎 Chuanxiong Rhizoma, chuanxiong [rhizome]) 37.5g
• Dāng guī (当归 Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chinese angelica) 37.5g
• Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 30g
• Xiān máo (仙茅 Curculiginis Rhizoma, curculigo [root]) 21g
• Fáng fēng (防风 Saposhnikoviae Radix, saposhnikovia) 21g
• Bái zhú (白朮 Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, white atractylodes [root]) 19.5g
• Shí gāo (石膏 Gypsum Fibrosum, gypsum) 15g
• Huáng qín (黄芩 Scutellariae Radix, scutellaria [root]) 15g
• Jié gěng (桔梗 Platycodonis Radix, platycodon [root]) 15g
• Shú dì huáng (熟地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata, cooked rehmannia [root]) 15.g
• Tiān má (天麻 Gastrodiae Rhizoma, gastrodia [root]) 15g
• Sān qī (三七 Notoginseng Radix, notoginseng [root]) 15g
• Qiāng huó (羌活 Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, notopterygium [root]) 15g
• Dú huó (独活 Angelicae Pubescentis Radix, pubescent angelica) 15g
• Zhī zǐ (栀子 Gardeniae Fructus, gardenia [fruit]) 9g
• Lián qiào (连翘 Forsythiae Fructus, forsythia [fruit]) 7.5g
• Jīng jiè (荆芥 Schizonepetae Herba, schizonepeta) 15g
• Bò hé (薄荷 Menthae Herba, mint) 15g
• Má huáng (麻黄 Ephedrae Herba, ephedra) 15g
• Dà huáng (大黄 Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, rhubarb) 15g
• Máng xiāo (芒硝 Natrii Sulfas , mirabilite) 15g
• Huáng lián (黄连 Coptidis Rhizoma, coptis [root]) 15g
• Huáng bǎi (黄柏 Phellodendri Cortex, phellodendron [bark]) 15g
• Xì xīn (细辛 Asari Rhizoma et Radix, asarum) 15g
• Quán xiē (全蝎 Scorpio , scorpion) 15g

Actions: Dispels wind and clears heat; frees the bowels.

Indications: Bowel and visceral stroke (wind stroke affecting the bowels and viscera) characterized by sudden loss of consciousness leaving the patient with deviated eyes and mouth and hemiplegia.

Method: Grind to a powder and form into pills with honey.
