Ingredients

• Má huáng (麻黄 Ephedrae Herba, ephedra) 9g
• Bái guǒ (白果 Ginkgo Semen, ginkgo [nut]) 9g
• Huáng bǎi (黄柏 Phellodendri Cortex, phellodendron [bark]) 12g
• Chá yè (茶叶 Theae Folium, tea [leaf]) 3g

Actions: Clears heat and harmonizes the center; rectifies the lung and calms panting.

Indications: Heat-type wheezing and panting with cough, copious phlegm, oppression in the chest, and rapid breathing making it difficult to lie flat. Tongue fur: Yellow. Pulse: Floating, slippery, and slightly rapid.
