Willow Flower Powder
柳花散 〔柳花散〕 liǔ huā sǎn

Ingredients
- Huáng bǎi (黄柏 Phellodendri Cortex, phellodendron [bark]) 30g
- Qīng dài (青黛 Indigo Naturalis , indigo) 9g
- Ròu guì (肉桂 Cinnamomi Cortex, cinnamon bark) 3g
- Bīng piàn (冰片 Borneolum , borneol) 0.6g
Indications: Macules or speckles of the tongue that are yellow or white in color surrounded by pale redness or in severe cases a mirror tongue with markings like those of a tortoise's shell, absence of thirst, and a vacuous fine pulse.
Method: Grind to a powder, and rub or insufflate on the affected area.
Notes: Despite the suggestion of the name, no willow flower (liǔ huā) is not contained in this formula.
