Millet Water Powder
浆水散 〔漿水散〕 jiāng shuǐ sǎn

Ingredients
- Gān jiāng (干姜 Zingiberis Rhizoma, dried ginger)
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) (mix-fried)
- Ròu guì (肉桂 Cinnamomi Cortex, cinnamon bark)
- Bàn xià (半夏 Pinelliae Rhizoma, pinellia [rhizome])
- Fù zǐ (附子 Aconiti Radix Lateralis Praeparata, aconite [accessory root])
- Gāo liáng jiāng (高良姜 Alpiniae Officinarum Rhizoma, lesser galangal [root])
Actions: Returns yáng and stems counterflow.
Indications: Fulminant water diarrhea, generalized sweating, generalized cold, scantness of breath inhibiting speech and, in severe cases,
Method: Grind the agents to a powder and decoct in millet water (jiāng shuǐ), i.e., cooked millet that has been steeped in cold water for 5–6 days with to turn sour in taste and produce mold on the surface.
