Ingredients

• Dān shēn (丹参 Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix, salvia [root]) 9g
• Dì gǔ pí (地骨皮 Lycii Cortex, lycium bark) 15g
• Xiān máo (仙茅 Curculiginis Rhizoma, curculigo [root]) 9g
• Shēng dì huáng (生地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Exsiccata seu Recens, dried/fresh rehmannia [root]) 9g
• Xuán shēn (玄参 Scrophulariae Radix, scrophularia [root]) 12g
• Zhī mǔ (知母 Anemarrhenae Rhizoma, anemarrhena [root]) 12g
• Huáng bǎi (黄柏 Phellodendri Cortex, phellodendron [bark]) 6g

Indications: Liver channel blood heat manifesting as advanced menstruation with copious purple flow, sometimes with clotted menstrual discharge, red face and lips, thirst, and liking for cool beverages. Tongue: Red or crimson. Pulse: Stringlike and rapid.

Method: Decoct with water.
