Cold-damp enduring impediment
寒湿久痹 〔寒濕久痹〕 hán shī jiǔ bì
A chronic impediment (bì) pattern arising when cold-damp invades the body. Cold evil causes qì and blood to congeal, whereas dampness causes stagnation and fixity. The two evils combined cause persistent morbid states of pain in the flesh and skin, stiffness in the joints, pain of fixed location.
