Wind sand

风痧 〔風痧〕fēng shā

Also wind papules. A contagious disease characterized by a papular eruption seen in children under five years of age in the winter and spring; attributed to externally contracted wind-heat lying depressed in the fleshy exterior and manifesting in small pale red papules that appear quickly and disappear without scaling or scarring.

Biomedical correspondence: German measles (rubella).

Medicinal therapy: Clear heat and resolve the exterior with Lonicera and Forsythia Powder (银翘散 yín qiào sǎn) with Five-Ingredient Toxin-Dispersing Beverage (五味消毒饮 wǔ wèi xiāo dú yǐn) plus cicada molting (Cicadae Periostracum, 蝉蜕 chán tuì).
