Water qì

水气 〔水氣〕shuǐ qì

Pathological excesses of water in the body and, specifically, water swelling provoked by it. The main cause is impairment of movement and transformation of water due to spleen-kidney yáng vacuity.

Note: in the term water qì reflects the notion of water in this context as a pervasive (pathological) phenomenon. See water swelling.
