Water qì

Pathological excesses of water in the body and, specifically, water swelling provoked by it. The main cause is impairment of movement and transformation of water due to spleen-kidney yáng vacuity.

Note: Qì in the term water qì reflects the notion of water in this context as a pervasive (pathological) phenomenon. See water swelling.
