Vacuous yáng floating upward
虚阳上浮 〔虛陽上浮〕xū yáng shàng fú
1. Exuberant yīn repelling yáng.
2. Also unconstrained vacuous yáng; solitary yáng straying upward. A pattern of tidal heat, tender-red complexion, dry mouth without thirst, and a vacuous rapid pulse arising when yáng, deprived of support through essence-blood depletion, strays upward to the upper body.
