Thought causes qì to bind

思则气结 〔思則氣結〕 sī zé qì jié

Excessive thought or cogitation can cause binding depression of spleen qì that affects normal splenic movement and transformation, causing glomus and fullness in the chest and stomach duct, poor appetite, abdominal distension, and thin stool.
