Stir-frying with rice

米炒 〔米炒〕 mǐ chǎo

Tossing (medicinal materials) with rice in a wok over a flame. Stir-frying with rice reduces the dryness of medicinals and increases their capacity to supplement the center and boost qì. Stir-frying with rice can also reduce the toxicity of a small number of medicinals. Codonopsis (Codonopsis Radix, 党参 dǎng shēn) and mylabris (Mylabris, 斑蝥 bān máo) can be treated this way.
