Spleen is connected with the stomach
脾合胃 〔脾合胃〕pí hé wèi
The spleen is in the interior, and its corresponding bowel in the exterior is the stomach, to which it is connected by channel. The spleen and stomach are complementary in their functions: the spleen governs movement and transformation, while the stomach governs intake; the spleen governs upbearing of the clear, while the stomach governs downbearing of the turbid; the spleen is averse to dampness, while the stomach likes moisture. Furthermore, the stomach’s governing rotting and ripening of grain and water is to some extent attributable to the spleen since, the spleen moves of stomach fluids of the stomach.
