Exuberant heart fire causing the life gate fire to stir and wear kidney yīn, and causing such signs as seminal emission, premature ejaculation, and vacuity vexation and insomnia. Such conditions are sometimes described as sapping of kidney yīn because the kidney yīn and kidney yáng are the root of all the viscera, and disease among them naturally take their toll on the kidney.

Etymology

Chinese: 汲 jí, to draw water, as from a well.
