Saber and pearl-string lumps
马刀侠瘿 〔馬刀俠癭〕 mǎ dāo xiá yǐng
Saber lumps are scrofula occurring in a configuration that looks like the shape of a saber; pearl-string lumps occur on the neck giving the appearance of a pearl necklace.
Etymology
Chinese: mǎ dāo, horse knife, i.e., saber; 侠 xiá kungfu fighter, probably a substitute for 夹 jiá, to clasp, border; 瘿 yǐng knobble, goiter, is explained as 缨络 yīng luò, a string of gems.
