Right qì

正气 〔正氣〕zhèng qì

1. True qì, especially in opposition to disease. Right qì is the active aspect of all components including the organs, blood, fluids, and essence and the various forms of yáng qì (defense qì, provisioning qì, channel qì, ancestral qì, etc.) in maintaining health and resisting disease. Right qì stands in opposition to evil qì, which is any entity in its active aspect of harming the body.

2. The normal qì of the seasons, warmth in spring, heat in summer, coolness in autumn, and cold in winter.
