Breathing

呼吸 〔呼吸〕hū xī

Also respiration. The taking of air into and putting of air out of the lung. Normal breathing depends on the diffusion and depurative downbearing of lung qì. The principal disturbances of normal breathing include panting, scantness of breath, hasty breathing, qì ascent, shortness of breath, and rough breathing. See also lung disease.
