Qì fetus

Phantom pregnancy characterized by the absence of the menses and enlargement of the abdomen arising when agitation and anger cause depressed liver qì, and consequent stagnation of the controlling (rèn), thoroughfare (chōng), and uterine vessels.

Medicinal therapy: Use Free Wanderer Powder (逍遥散 xiāo yáo sǎn) with the addition of costusroot (Aucklandiae Radix, 木香 mù xiāng), cyperus (Cyperi Rhizoma, 香附子 xiāng fù zǐ), and chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 川芎 chuān xiōng).
