Nondownbearing of stomach qì
胃气不降 〔胃氣不降〕 wèi qì bù jiàng
Also impaired harmonious downbearing of the stomach. Disturbance of the normal downbearing of stomach qì. Stomach qì normally bears downward carrying food downward to the intestines. Impaired downbearing is characterized by no thought of food and drink, fullness and distension or pain in the stomach. When stomach qì does not bear downward, it ascends counterflow, manifesting as vomiting, belching, and hiccup. See stomach qì ascending counterflow.
