Lung heat scorching the lobes

肺热叶焦 〔肺熱葉焦〕fèi rè yè jiāo

Long scorching of the lobes of the lung by depressed heat causing wilting (wěi) patterns. Plain Questions (素问 sù wèn, wěi lùn) states, Lung heat scorching the lobes develops into crippling wilt. Lung heat scorching lobes can give rise to two conditions:

  1. Lung wilting, characterized by coughing up of foamy turbid drool.
  2. Wilting of arms and legs characterized by drying of the skin and body hair and withering of the flesh, lack of strength in the limbs.
