Lung dryness
肺燥 〔肺燥〕fèi zào
Any pattern of lung dryness. The lung is ascribed to metal, with which the season autumn is associated. The lung is easily damaged by dryness evil in the autumn. See dryness qì damaging the lung. A similar condition may arise through lung yīn vacuity. The basic signs of any lung dryness are cough, expectoration of blood, dry nose, sore throat, hoarse voice, dry mouth, thirst, and a red tongue with white fur.
