Liver depression and spleen vacuity

肝郁脾虚 〔肝鬱脾虛〕gān yù pí xū

A form of liver-spleen disharmony in which binding depression of the liver qì gives rise to or exacerbates impairment of splenic movement and transformation. Liver depression and spleen vacuity is characterized by rib-side pain, aversion to food, abdominal distension, sloppy stool or diarrhea, and fatigued limbs. See depressed liver qì.
