Medicinal therapy: Warm the channels and disperse cold using Channel-Warming (Menses-Warming) Decoction (温经汤 wēn jīng tāng). In distension disease, these signs can be treated by adding kidney channel medicinals such as pubescent angelica (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix, 独活 dú huó), anemarrhena (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma, 知母 zhī mǔ), asarum (Asari Rhizoma et Radix, 细辛 xì xīn), and cinnamon bark (Cinnamomi Cortex, 肉桂 ròu guì) to the formula treating the main pattern.
