Impaired depurative downbearing of the lung

肺失肃降 〔肺失肅降〕fèi shī sù jiāng

A pathomechanism involving a disturbance of the lung’s functions of governing depurative downbearing and regulation of the waterways. The lung governs the qì of the whole body. If, for any reason, lung qì is inhibited, there may be signs such as cough, nasal congestion, and counterflow qì, and if the movement and distribution of water is affected, causing inhibited urination, puffy swelling and panting and cough may be observed.
