Also seasonal qì; seasonal current. A disease prevalent in a particular place at a particular time, marked by the similar signs in both young and old; an epidemic. Distinction is made between cold and heat. A heavenly current of a cold nature is called a seasonal cold epidemic, whereas one of a hot nature is called heaven-current warm epidemic.
