Heart pulse is surging

心脉洪 〔心脈洪〕 xīn mài hóng

A surging pulse is associated with heart disease and the season summer. Plain Questions (素问 sù wèn) states, The heart pulse is hook-like. The Classic of Difficult Issues (难经 nàn jīng, 15) states, The summer pulse is hook-like. The hook-like pulse is now usually referred to as the surging pulse. See surging pulse.
