赤膜下垂 〔赤膜下垂〕chì mó xià chuí
An eye disease that starts with visible fine red blood vessels around the dark of the eyethat appear like a curtain hanging toward the dark of the eye, which subsequently graduallydrapes downward, becoming wider and thicker. At the end of the red threads there is often astarry screen. The condition is associated with tearing, aversion to light, roughness, andimpaired vision. Hanging red membrane is attributed to lung-liver wind-heat congesting thevessels or failure to provide adequate treatment for a millet sore.
