Fullness of the lower abdomen with inhibited urination, usually attributed to bladder cold.

Medicinal therapy: Treat with formulas such as Complementarity Decoction (既济汤 jì jì tāng). Bladder distension may also be observed in drum distension patterns, for which bladder channel conductors such as talcum (Talcum, 滑石 huá shí) and notopterygium (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, 羌活 qiāng huó) are added to the formula treating the principal pattern.
