Gallbladder governs decision

胆主决断 〔膽主決斷〕dǎn zhǔ jué duàn

The ability to maintain balanced judgment in the face of adversity is attributed to the gallbladder. Strong gallbladder qì ensures greater invulnerability to such stimuli. When gallbladder qì is weak and timid, fear and fright may lead to disease. See gallbladder vacuity and qì timidity.
