Freckle

雀斑 〔雀斑〕què bān

A small brown patch on the skin. Freckles arise when kidney-water fails to nourish the upper body and fire stagnates and binds into macules.

Medicinal therapy: Take Supplemented Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill (加味六味地黄丸 jiā wèi liù wèi dì huáng wán) and dab and wash with Jade Countenance Pill (玉容丸 yù róng wán).

Etymology

Chinese: 雀 què, sparrow; 斑 bān, patch, macule.
