Divided flesh
分肉 〔分肉〕 fēn ròu
Flesh, as divisible into red and white parts. Formerly, the outer layer of flesh (subcutaneous fat) was called white flesh
and the internal layer (muscle) was called red flesh,
and therefore the flesh was divided into red and white parts. Note that the Chinese term is also translated as divide of the flesh.
