A method of treatment used to address inhibited lung qì with cough, panting, and copious phlegm using medicinals such as ephedra (Ephedrae Herba, 麻黄 má huáng), apricot kernel (Armeniacae Semen, 杏仁 xìng rén), platycodon (Platycodonis Radix, 桔梗 jié gěng), cicada molting (Cicadae Periostracum, 蝉蜕 chán tuì), and perilla (Perillae Folium, Caulis et Calyx, 紫苏 zǐ sū).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on LU and LI. Select LU-7 (Broken Sequence, 列缺 liè quē), BL-13 (Lung Transport, 肺俞 fèi shù), and LI-4 (Union Valley, 合谷 hé gǔ). Needle with drainage and moxa if appropriate.
