Depurative downbearing
肃降 〔肅降〕 sù jiàng
A function of the lung comprising two aspects: regulating the waterways (i.e., ensuring the passage of fluids down to the kidney) and sending qì absorbed from the air down to the kidney. See lung governs depurative downbearing; kidney governs qì absorption.
Etymology
Chinese: 肃 sù, purge, clean; 降 jiàng fall, drop.
