Properties: Acrid, slightly bitter, and sour; warm; nontoxic.

Channel entry: Liver, lung, and spleen channels.

Actions and indications: Courses the liver and rectifies qì; harmonizes the center and transforms phlegm. Treats liver-stomach disharmony with distension and pain in the chest rib-side, glomus and fullness in the stomach duct and abdomen, and vomiting and retching; cough with copious phlegm.
