Summerheat sand

暑痧 〔暑痧〕 shǔ shā

A condition attributed to contraction of the foul turbid sand shā evil and characterized by nausea and vomiting, and diarrhea with foul-smelling stool, abdominal pain of fluctuating intensity, dizziness, sweating like rain, and a surging pulse.

Medicinal therapy: Clear summerheat and transform turbidity; harmonize the spleen and stomach. Use Lophatherum and Gypsum Decoction (竹叶石膏汤 zhú yè shí gāo tāng) or Six-to-One Powder (六一散 liù yī sǎn).
