Actions and indications: Warms the spleen and kidney, opens the stomach (increases the appetite), disperses cold, moves qì, and resolves toxin. Treats sand (shā) turbidity with retching counterflow; cold pain in the abdomen; cold mounting (hán shàn); glomus and fullness and reduced appetite. Used as 小茴香 in some parts of china.
