Indications:
- Clears heat and resolves toxin: Toxin swelling of welling-abscesses and
sore s, painful swollen throat, snake bites. - Disinhibits urine and frees strangury: Damp-heat strangury (shī rè lìn) with inhibited urination; damp-heat jaundice.
- Modern applications: Combined with bàn zhī lián (半枝莲 Scutellariae Barbatae Herba, bearded scutellaria;), bái huā shé shé cǎo is very commonly used as an adjuvant medicinal in oncology.
Dosage & Method:
Oral: 15–30g in decoctions.
Warning:
Contraindicated in yīn flat-abscesses and spleen-stomach vacuity cold.
