Properties: Acrid; warm.

Indications:

Warms the center and checks vomiting and retching.

stomach cold vomiting and retching; abdominal pain and diarrhea.

Notes: This is fresh whole root of ginger wrapped in cotton cloth and buried in hot embers and sliced before use. It is not as dry as dried ginger, and not as dissipating as fresh ginger.
