Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter and acrid; balanced.

Actions and indications: Quickens the blood; dispels wind-damp. Treats injury from knocks and falls; wind-damp impediment (fēng shī bì) pain; pulmonary welling-abscesses (fèi yōng); mammary welling-abscesses (rǔ yōng).

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (12–30g). Topical: Apply crushed.

Quality: Leafiness and fine stems are marks of quality.

Production area: Guǎngdōng, Guǎngxī.
