Properties: Bland and astringent^✽; cool.^✽

Actions and indications: Clears heat and cools the blood; transforms dampness and frees the network vessels. Treats dryness cough; dysentery; wind-damp pain; injury from knocks and falls; sores, scab (jiè) and lichen (xiǎn).

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g). Topical: Decoct as a wash or apply juice extracted by crushing.
