    • Clears heat and dries dampness: diarrhea and dysentery; jaundice; sores and boils; damp sores (shī zhěn); painful red swollen eyes.
      • Cools the blood and abates steaming bone tidal heat: pulmonary consumption; coughing of blood; vomiting of blood; steaming bone tidal heat effusion.

        Dosage & Method:

        Oral: Decoct (6–9g) or use in pills and powders. Topical. Apply as a powder.

        Product Area:

        Mahonia fortunei: Sìchuān, Húběi, Zhèjiāng. Mahonia japonica: Southern and South-western China.
