Properties: Bitter and astringent; balanced.

Actions and indications: Dispels wind-damp; rectifies qì and quickens the blood; fortifies the spleen and stomach; reduces inflammation and settles pain; engenders flesh. Treats taxation damage; wind-damp lumbus and leg pain; injury from knocks and falls; indigestion; menstrual irregularities; vaginal discharge.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (6–9g).
