Properties: Salty*; cold*; slightly toxic*.
Channel entry: Liver channel.
Indications:
- Disperses binds and resolves toxin: Scrofula;
sores ; tumors. - Relieves pain: Wind-damp impediment (fēng shī bì) pain.
- Dispels wind and settles fright: Lockjaw and fright wind.
Dosage & Method: Topical: Apply as powder. Oral: 1–2g in decoctions; can also be steeped in wine.
Product Area: Found in most parts of China. Jiāngsū and Zhèjiāng have the highest production.
