Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter; cold.

Actions and indications: Clears heat and resolves toxin; courses the liver and fortifies the spleen; reduces inflammation and kills germs. Treats acute icteric hepatitis; laryngopharyngitis; tonsillitis; cystitis; influenza and common cold; malarial disease.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g).

Production area: South-western and southern China.
