Category: External-use agents / Toxin-attacking, worm-killing, and itch-relieving agents

Properties: Acrid*; cool*; slightly toxic*.

Indications:

Clears heat and resolves toxin; disinhibits water and disperses distension.

toxin swelling of welling- and flat-abscesses (yōng jū); abdominal distension in gān accumulation; scrofula; tumors.

Dosage & Method: Oral: Decoct 3–6g or use as a powder. Topical: Apply as a powder.
