Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter^✽; cold.^✽

Actions and indications: Clears heat and resolves toxin; quickens the blood and dispels stasis. Treats acute mastitis and tonsillitis; clove sores (dīng); toxin swellings; enteritis; bacillary dysentery; amenorrhea; injury from knocks and falls.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g). Topical: Apply crushed.
