Actions and indications: Hé yè gěng frees qì and loosens the chest, harmonizes the stomach, and quiets the fetus. It treats external contraction of summerheat-damp, oppression in the chest, pregnancy vomiting, and stirring fetus. Hé yè gěng is also used to check flooding and vaginal discharge.

Dosage and method: Oral: Used in decoctions, in doses of 10–15g.
